MIND Vale of Clwyd were successful in applying to the Coop Resilience Fund to help deliver Social Prescribing from their own specially adapted vehicle – Doris (Denbighshire Outreach Rural Information Service) - specifically in rural areas to reach the 49% of the county’s population who live there.
The vehicle is manned by a practitioner and one or more volunteers who speak Welsh.
Doris features a small sound proofed room for private interviews and has a wide range of materials to help patients. They provide tea and coffee and there is an awning and tables / chairs outside to allow for a general chat and social distancing.
